Statement of Intent

Wellbeing Places Equip Limited ("WBP Equip") is committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment for all individuals involved in its activities and to meeting its obligations under applicable UK health and safety legislation, including the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974.

The Company recognises that good health and safety practices support employee wellbeing, effective performance, and responsible governance.

Scope

This Policy applies to:

  • directors and officers;
  • employees and contractors;
  • advisers and consultants; and
  • any person affected by the Company's activities.

WBP Equip operates primarily as an office-based and technology-focused business. Accordingly, its health and safety arrangements are proportionate to its low-risk operating environment.

Responsibilities

Board of Directors

The Board has overall responsibility for health and safety governance and for ensuring that appropriate arrangements are in place.

Management

Management is responsible for:

  • implementing this Policy;
  • identifying and managing foreseeable risks;
  • ensuring that concerns are addressed promptly; and
  • maintaining appropriate records where required.

Individuals

All individuals acting for or on behalf of WBP Equip are expected to:

  • take reasonable care of their own health and safety;
  • avoid actions that could endanger others; and
  • report hazards, incidents, or concerns promptly.

Risk Management

WBP Equip adopts a risk-based approach to health and safety.

Key areas of consideration include:

  • office and remote working arrangements;
  • use of display screen equipment (DSE);
  • stress, wellbeing, and workload management;
  • travel undertaken for business purposes; and
  • engagement with third-party premises or facilities.

Formal risk assessments are undertaken where appropriate, taking account of the nature of the activity and level of risk.

Incident Reporting

Any accident, injury, near miss, or health and safety concern arising in connection with the Company's activities must be reported promptly.

Material incidents will be managed in accordance with the Company's Incident, Breach & Escalation Policy, including escalation where required.

Training and Awareness

WBP Equip recognises the importance of awareness in maintaining a safe working environment.

The Company seeks to ensure that individuals are aware of:

  • basic health and safety responsibilities;
  • safe working practices relevant to their role; and
  • routes for raising concerns or issues.

Wellbeing

The Company recognises that health and safety includes mental wellbeing.

WBP Equip seeks to promote a working culture that:

  • supports reasonable workloads;
  • encourages open communication; and
  • allows concerns to be raised without fear of detriment.

Third Parties

Where activities involve third-party premises, suppliers, or partners, WBP Equip expects reasonable standards of health and safety to be maintained.

Health and safety considerations form part of the Company's broader governance and supplier oversight framework.

Relationship with Other Policies

This Policy should be read alongside:

  • Governance & Compliance Statement;
  • Incident, Breach & Escalation Policy;
  • Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Statement; and
  • Code of Business Conduct & Ethics.

Together, these documents support responsible and safe business operations.

Review

This Health & Safety Policy is reviewed annually or earlier if there is a material change in the Company's activities, working arrangements, or legal requirements.

All revisions must be approved by the Board and recorded in the Policy Register.
