Approved by: Ian Chadwick — 20/01/2026

Statement of Intent

WBP Equip is committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment for all directors, employees, contractors, and visitors. We recognise our responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and associated legislation, and we take a proportionate approach to health and safety management based on the nature of our business activities.

Scope

This policy applies to all directors, employees, contractors, advisers, and any other person who may be affected by our activities. Our operations are primarily office-based and technology-focused, and our risk profile reflects this.

Responsibilities

Health and safety responsibilities are shared across the Company:

  • The Board has overall responsibility for health and safety performance and for ensuring that the Company maintains a safe working environment;
  • Management is responsible for implementing health and safety arrangements, identifying risks within their areas, and ensuring concerns are addressed; and
  • All individuals are expected to take reasonable care for their own health and safety and that of others, and to report hazards or concerns promptly.

Risk Management

We identify and assess health and safety risks relevant to our operations. Key areas include:

  • office and remote working environments;
  • display screen equipment (DSE) and workstation use;
  • stress and wellbeing;
  • travel; and
  • use of third-party premises.

Incident Reporting

Any workplace incident, near-miss, or health and safety concern should be reported promptly. Material incidents will be managed in accordance with our governance arrangements.

Training and Awareness

We provide proportionate training and guidance to ensure individuals are aware of their health and safety responsibilities, including basic safe practices and reporting routes.

Wellbeing

We recognise the importance of mental and physical wellbeing. We support reasonable workloads, encourage open communication about wellbeing, and promote a working culture that supports individuals' health.

Third Parties

Where we engage suppliers, contractors, or partners, we expect them to maintain reasonable health and safety standards appropriate to the services they provide.

Review

This policy will be reviewed at least annually, or earlier if there is a material change in our operations, premises, or regulatory requirements.
